Actor and Comedian Ime Bishop Umoh applauds Super Falcons reward, urges Tinubu to also honour police and military heroes
Nigerian actor and comedian, Ime Bishop Umoh, has shared his thoughts on the recent wave of presidential rewards being handed out — especially to non-political citizens who’ve made the country proud.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, the comic star, popularly known as Okon, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognising the Super Falcons and members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with generous gifts and accolades.
He described the move as “commendable,” especially because the beneficiaries were not politicians but everyday Nigerians who served the country with excellence.
However, Ime Bishop didn’t stop at the praise.
In the same breath, he used the opportunity to make a heartfelt appeal to the presidency — urging Mr. President to extend that same generosity to members of the Nigerian Police and Military, particularly those risking their lives daily at the frontline.
