The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has withdrawn from the investigation it launched into the viral video of the alleged sexu@l ass@ult shared on social media by a young woman named Mirabel.

It had earlier reported that Mirable in the viral video claimed that she was sexu@lly assaulted by an anonymous man who invaded her home, used a razor blade to tear her private part open before forcefully having sexu@l intercourse with her. In a follow-up statement released this afternoon February 18, the agency said it was able to successfully establish communication with a close friend of Mirable who confirmed that she had been discharged from the hospital. It says it has confirmed that the incident happened in Ogun state which is beyond their jurisdiction, It added that the Ogun state police command has commenced an investigation into the incident.
